How to See a Lead's Source and Marketing Journey Inside HubSpot
See how every HubSpot contact, company, and deal found you, with first and latest touch, lead quality, and recent visits, right in the HubSpot record sidebar.
Your sales team works in HubSpot, not in SourceLoop. The SourceLoop panel brings the evidence to them: open any contact, company, or deal and the panel shows how that person or account found you, before anyone picks up the phone.
What the panel shows
- Lead quality and value: the best quality across the people on the record, and their combined lead value
- First touch and latest touch: channel, campaign, and landing page, written as plain sentences, such as “Paid search, campaign brand-uk”
- Number of visits before converting
- Latest visits: the most recent visits, newest first, with what converted on each one
- A button that opens the full journey in SourceLoop
On a deal, the panel covers every person on the deal. On a company, it covers its people, so you can see the whole buying committee’s journey in one place.
Where to find it
Open any contact, company, or deal in HubSpot. The SourceLoop panel sits in the right sidebar. To move or hide it, use Customize record in HubSpot.
The panel appears automatically for every HubSpot account connected to SourceLoop. If you haven’t connected yet, see Connect HubSpot to SourceLoop.
When there isn’t a full journey
- No visits recorded in between: the panel shows the stored first and latest touch and says the visits in between weren’t recorded.
- No website visit at all: the panel shows the source HubSpot itself recorded, such as Offline or Referral.

Frequently asked questions
-
Do I need to set anything up?
No. The panel appears on contacts, companies, and deals in every HubSpot account with SourceLoop connected. If you don't see it, use Customize record in HubSpot to add it to the sidebar.
-
Who can see the panel?
Anyone who can open the record in HubSpot. Sales reps don't need a SourceLoop login.
-
Does the panel write anything to HubSpot?
No. It reads live from SourceLoop each time the record is opened, so it adds no API usage and nothing to the record's timeline. The attribution fields SourceLoop syncs to HubSpot are separate, and are what you filter and report on.
-
Why does the panel say the record isn't found?
SourceLoop hasn't synced that record yet, or it isn't linked to anyone SourceLoop has seen. Records created by SourceLoop or matched during sync show their journey.
-
Is there a panel for Pipedrive?
It is on its way. Until then, the attribution fields SourceLoop syncs to Pipedrive show the first and latest touch on each person and deal.
