Mediahawk tells you which number rang and which campaign that number belongs to. SourceLoop adds the person behind the call: every visit they made to your site before dialling, from the first ad or search to the page they were on when they picked up the phone. Every call then counts as a lead in the same reports as your forms and bookings.

What SourceLoop records for each Mediahawk call

  • Caller details: number, town, county, and postcode
  • The call itself: length, ring time, whether it was answered, and the recording link
  • Mediahawk’s attribution: first and last source and medium, keyword, campaign, paid search campaign and ad group, landing page, referring URL, and device
  • The caller’s web journey from SourceLoop, first touch through latest touch, when they browsed your site before calling
  • Call value, tags, and category, including changes you make in Mediahawk afterwards

Each call becomes a lead with the type Call.

Before you start

  • A Mediahawk account where you can create an API token
  • SourceLoop’s tracking code on your site, on the same pages as Mediahawk’s script
  • An Admin or Editor role in SourceLoop

Step 1: Create an API token in Mediahawk

In Mediahawk, go to Settings, then API, generate a token, and copy it.

Step 2: Connect Mediahawk in SourceLoop

  1. In SourceLoop, open Setup in the left sidebar, then Phone.
  2. Click the Mediahawk card.
  3. Paste your API token and connect.

That’s the whole setup. SourceLoop checks the token and creates the webhook inside Mediahawk, so there’s nothing else to configure on Mediahawk’s side.

Test it

Visit your site in a private window with ?utm_source=test&utm_medium=check&utm_campaign=mediahawk-test on the address, then call one of the tracking numbers shown on the page. Within a minute or two of the call ending, it appears in SourceLoop’s Contacts as a Call lead with the test campaign on its journey.

Traffic and Revenue report

At app.sourceloop.ai/reports/traffic, set Measuring to Conversions by type to see calls next to forms and bookings for each channel and campaign. Many businesses find paid search drives far more calls than form fills.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Do I need to change my Mediahawk tracking code?

No. Keep Mediahawk's script on your site as it is and add SourceLoop's tracking code next to it. SourceLoop matches each call to the visitor who made it without any change to Mediahawk's setup.

  2. Do I need to set up a webhook in Mediahawk?

No. When you paste your API token, SourceLoop creates the webhook inside Mediahawk for you. If it's ever disabled or deleted, SourceLoop recreates it on the next sync.

  3. Will calls with no web visit still appear?

Yes. Every call to a tracked number becomes a lead. Calls from people who never visited your site, such as from print or radio numbers, carry Mediahawk's own source instead of a web journey.

  4. Do changes I make in Mediahawk after the call update SourceLoop?

Yes. Call value, tags, and category changes made in Mediahawk later flow through to the lead.

  5. Can I count only real conversations as leads?

Yes. A lead quality rule such as "Call answered and call length over 60 seconds, then Good" separates real enquiries from misdials and voicemail.
